Vic: Report says Mullet should not stay police officer

A report by the Office of Police Integrity says suspended Victorian police union boss
.. PAUL MULLETT .. should not be allowed to remain a sworn police officer.

Senior Sergeant MULLETT has been heavily criticised as a self-interested schoolyard
bully .. in a report by OPI director GEORGE BROUWER.

The report .. tabled today in state parliament .. concerns an OPI investigation into
a police officer and union delegate .. Detective Sergeant PETER LALOR .. who set up an
email account under the alias KIT WALKER.

Sergeant LALOR .. who's also linked to the murder of a male prostitute .. misused the
police emailing network to defame a former police union president .. JANET MITCHELL.

Mr BROUWER says he's concerned many police officers involved in the Police Association
are pre-occupied with self-interest and not being public officers.
