Fed: Howard plays down suspicious package at Sydney office

JOHN HOWARD has played down the discovery of a suspicious package in his Sydney office.

The prime minister says authorities wearing funny suits collected dust samples while
he was working on some papers .. and it would've made a marvellous photo.

Mr HOWARD's told the Nine Network a News Limited photo of him fleeing the office is
a blow up .. and he was actually going to a luncheon engagement around the corner.

But he says you always have to be cautious.

The PM says another suspicious package was found in Foreign Minister ALEXANDER DOWNER'S
office in Canberra yesterday .. but there's nothing to worry about.
