FED: Doctors trusted, as long as they're not natural
A survey's found we trust our family doctor .. and private hospitals over public ones
.. but also prefer the government-funded Medicare system to private health funds.
It's also found .. we're not quite as hot on naturopaths and other alternative health
care workers.
Lead author ELIZABETH HARDIE from Swinburne University in Melbourne says the support
for private health care .. but public funding .. may reflect Australians' historical support
for a public health care system .. combined with an awareness of its long waiting lists.
The survey of 800 adults has been published in the Medical Journal of Australia.
